It is entirely possible that the universe is contained in a small green box on a shelf in the back of God's camper van, but does this help? Does it alleviate any need? Is it in the slightest way helpful or constructive?
When I was a kid I used to imagine the universe as a speck of dust on someone's kitchen floor... and for some reason, this gave me a great feeling of relief. I think that's what initially started drawing me to Buddhism, though I didn't realize it yet.
